Passion for teaching

Prior to my journey of acquiring my psychotherapist license, I was an educator for 13 years. Having a passion for teaching, I intertwine a variety of educational approaches within counseling sessions to enhance an individual's understanding of his or her options and strengths, with regards to working through unique life challenges.

My Experience

My counseling experiences have entailed working with substance abuse, relapse prevention, emotional, psychological, physical and sexual abuse, as well as anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

How my practice can help you

Individuals are unique

There is no "cookie cutter" formula to help you work through life's issues, therefore... I intertwine many counseling approaches to enhance your ability to achieve a balanced emotional and psychological well-being.

Therapy chairs

As a psychotherapist, my goal is to gain an in-depth understanding of your unique challenges and goals. I have helped clients work through life challenges such as depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, parenting and partner relationship issues, in addition to emotional, psychological, and sexual abuse.

At the heart of counseling is listening, the experience of being heard and accepted that enables growth and change.

Should I consider therapy?

There are times in life when individuals feel stuck, overwhelmed with life's challenges, and perhaps not knowing what the next steps are to make the changes we desire for a balanced and fulfilling life.

The individual is complex and unique, as is his or her life story, challenges, and concerns. I work with you to discover your inner strengths, which in turn will help you work through your specific life challenges.
